Halloween Day Celebration

Deepavali Celebration

Deepavali was celebrated with traditional fervour and excitement by the students and teachers alike on 30.10.24. The day started with an enlightening and engrossing assembly presented by the teachers. Students decorated their classes with fairy lights and torans and shared sweets and savouries with each other. Each class made different Diwali crafts. The day culminated with the students watching a video highlighting the various stories behind the celebration of Deepavali and the traditional significance of the festival and its nuances.

Negizhi Maasilla Tamilnadu – A Solidarity Support Campaign

The students at SRM Public School took the NGTM pledge for a plastic free Tamil Nadu or Negizhi Maasilla Tamilnadu on October 29, 2024 . The students spoke about the magnitude of the problems caused due to the use of one time use plastic and the urgency of taking collective action. Mr AK Fatah, the Chief Coordinator and Director- NGTM Board addressed the students about their role as change makers and their responsibility as human beings to preserve mother Earth. The event was presided over by Sri M Subramanian, the Correspondent of the school. He also spoke about the enormity of the problem and being sensitive to the dangers of disposing plastic, carelessly. The Organising Head, Dr K R Maalathi, who is also the advisor, of SRM Public School, was felicitated as the Brand Ambassador of NGTM , by the Chief Guest.The oath of NGTM was administered by Dr K R Maalathi, who spoke about practicing the 3 ‘R’s of conservation, as the immediate need of the hour. She also urged the students to come out with innovative ideas to solve the problems created by plastics, especially micro plastics.
