Krishna Janmashtami Celebration – Paper Flute Making – Grades 2 and 3

The happy tots of grade 2 and 3 involved themselves in the activity of paper flute making on 22.08.2024 as a part of the Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. While students enjoyed rolling out their flutes, the activity helped to develop their fine motor skills and simultaneously created awareness regarding the cultural and spiritual significance of Krishna’s flute and why this festival is celebrated.

MELA by Grade 3

Learning can certainly be fun ; if teachers can give life to the lessons in the text book. Here’s how a village mela recreated with all available materials !!

The students and teachers of grade 3 transformed their space into a bustling fairground set up with the umpteen stalls like colourful balloon stall, magic show, kite shop, mehandi stall, creative craft shop, flower shop, bangle shop, etc. The enthusiasm and excitement of the students on seeing the mela, was palpable.
The mela was a wonderful way to integrate learning with fun and it provided the students with a unique and enriching experience of a village fair.

Field Trip to Farmhouse

We, the Happy Tots, went on a field trip to a farmhouse, and it was so much fun! We saw big cows—some were just lying in the grass while others were munching on hay. We all stood there, just watching them. They were really cool.
Then, we ran after the hens, laughing and trying to catch them, but they were too quick. They flapped their wings and ran away. We also saw ducks of different colours; some were milky white, two were brown, and a few were a mix of colours. They had webbed feet and soft feathers.
We spent the day exploring the farm, playing with the animals, and observing different types of trees. It was an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to share it with my friends and parents!
